Content Design

The Challenge

FreeClimb is a cloud-based API that allows user to create applications that use a full range of telephony features without requiring specialized or on-site telephony equipment.

Their develop docs site lacked an established target user, consistent language, a comprehensive information architecture, and user friendly interface.

How I Helped

What I did

I created user journeys/workflows and conducted user interviews and competitor analysis to gain insights that would help me reorganize the information architecture and content taxonomy of FreeClimb's docs site.

In order to provide users with intuitive pathways and a navigation that provided them with the information they needed when they needed it, I proposed new landing page content, an internal documentation linking strategy, a new content taxonomy, and updated all of the existing content so that it was ready for optimal user engagement, experience, and conversion.
